Meet the team at Islamabad International Airport and transfer privately to the hotel. The arrival day is kept deliberately light after the international flight. Assistance can include local SIM guidance, currency practicalities and a briefing on the northern flight, baggage limits and the road backup. The guide confirms the next morning’s departure and reviews current weather and road information. No demanding sightseeing is forced into the arrival day; if the flight lands early and guests are rested, a short optional Islamabad stop can be discussed without affecting the main itinerary.
Max altitude 540 mIslamabad to Gilgit and Naltar Valley
Use the planned domestic flight to Gilgit when operating, then continue into the Naltar excursion with an appropriate 4x4 arrangement. If flight conditions require the road backup, the programme is resequenced rather than pretending Naltar can still be completed at the same time. On the standard flight plan, drive into Naltar for pine-forest scenery and seasonal lake access where the road is practical. Return toward Gilgit after the excursion and continue or overnight according to the confirmed hotel plan. The guide protects a realistic schedule because Naltar road conditions can vary.
Max altitude 3,000 mGilgit to Karimabad and Hunza Heritage
Drive from Gilgit toward Hunza with selected stops at Rakaposhi viewpoints before reaching Karimabad. Spend the main part of the day on central Hunza: Baltit Fort area, Karimabad bazaar, Altit village and heritage surroundings. The order can adjust for opening hours and light. This day intentionally reduces long-distance driving after the previous Naltar excursion and gives international guests time to understand the valley’s history, villages and mountain geography. Overnight in central Hunza.
Max altitude 2,438 mAttabad Lake, Gulmit and Passu
Travel into Upper Hunza for Attabad Lake, Gulmit village, Hussaini area and Passu. The guide chooses the sequence around road traffic, weather and the group’s interests, allowing more time for photography or a short walk rather than rushing every possible roadside stop. Passu Cones and the surrounding valley landscape are major highlights. Optional boating or paid activities at Attabad are handled separately unless specifically included in the quotation. Overnight in Hunza or Upper Hunza according to the selected hotel plan.
Max altitude 2,600 mKhunjerab Pass Excursion
Depart early for the high-altitude Khunjerab route through Sost and the upper Karakoram Highway. The public border viewpoint is visited only when current road, weather and official access allow. At approximately 4,693 metres, the stay at the highest point is kept sensible; guests are encouraged to move slowly and report any unusual symptoms. Crossing into China is not part of the sightseeing tour. Return to the hotel in Hunza by evening, with meal and photography stops arranged around daylight and road conditions.

Leave Hunza for Gilgit with enough margin for the planned domestic flight to Islamabad. Weather-sensitive flights are never treated as guaranteed, so the final operation uses the road contingency when necessary. On a normal flight day, arrive in Islamabad and transfer privately to the hotel. The evening is free for rest, a meal or light city time. Keeping the final night in Islamabad creates an important buffer before the international departure and reduces the risk of connecting directly from a mountain region to a critical overseas flight.

Private transfer to Islamabad International Airport according to the confirmed international flight time. The team checks pickup time against airline check-in requirements and current city traffic. Guests receive final assistance with the departure transfer and any outstanding tour documentation. If the international flight leaves late in the day, optional Islamabad sightseeing can be discussed separately, but the departure timing remains the priority. The seven-day service ends at the airport.
