How long do you need in Hunza, and what should you actually do each day? Here are proven itineraries from a quick escape to a full Upper Hunza exploration.
Three days is the practical minimum to enjoy central Hunza if you fly to Gilgit; five to seven days is ideal to include Upper Hunza and Khunjerab without rushing; ten or more days lets you add Nagar, Naltar, Skardu or a trek. Remember the road from Islamabad takes one to two days each way unless you fly.
With more time, extend to Skardu and Deosai, Naltar Valley and its lakes, Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat, or a base-camp trek such as Rakaposhi from Minapin. We can combine any of these into one seamless private itinerary.
Three days minimum if you fly, five to seven days ideal, and ten-plus if you want to add Skardu, Naltar, Fairy Meadows or a trek.
Flying to Gilgit saves two to four days of road travel but is weather-dependent. Driving the KKH is scenic but slower. Many travellers fly one way and drive the other.
Travel north, then central Hunza (forts, Duikar), Upper Hunza (Attabad, Passu), a Khunjerab Pass day, and return — see our 5-day itinerary above.
Tell us your dates and we will build it into a private, guided plan with hotels and transport — in PKR or USD.
