Islamabad to Skardu runs daily jet service in season with the famous Nanga Parbat panorama; Islamabad to Gilgit (for Hunza, 90 minutes’ drive from the airport) uses smaller aircraft with stricter weather minima. Both are spectacular; Skardu’s schedule is simply more robust.
