Day by Day Itinerary
5-day planIslamabad to Naran
Motorway and Kaghan Valley climb; riverside evening. Timing remains flexible enough to respond to local access, weather and the confirmed interests of the travellers. For Islamabad to Naran on day 1, allow a full mountain-road day with meal, fuel and comfort stops agreed en route; the driver follows the road that is officially open and adjusts timing for traffic, weather and daylight.
Max altitude 2,409 mSaif-ul-Malook day
Early jeep to the lake, boating, Malika Parbat views; afternoon at leisure. This flexible period is kept genuinely unhurried, with optional activity agreed locally rather than added as a compulsory stop. For Saif-ul-Malook day on day 2, keep the pace easy, hydrate well and use the time to organise clothing and equipment for the next stage; optional walks are confirmed locally and should not interfere with recovery.
Max altitude 3,224 mBabusar Top & Lulusar
Drive the upper valley to the pass (seasonal); photo stops both ways. The photography schedule considers light, access and the time required to work at each location. For Babusar Top & Lulusar on day 3, early or late light is used where practical, while weather determines the final viewpoint; equipment remains supervised during roadside stops and larger luggage stays secured in the vehicle.
Max altitude 4,173 mNaran to Shogran
Kunhar-side morning, jeep to Siri Paye meadows; Shogran overnight. The walking plan uses a conservative pace, scheduled hydration stops and a turnaround time suited to altitude, weather and the group's condition. For Naran to Shogran on day 4, the guide sets the pace from trail, weather and group condition; carry water, sun protection and a warm layer, use stable footwear, and report headache, unusual fatigue or discomfort early.
Max altitude 2,362 mReturn to Islamabad
Return to Islamabad. The final transfer keeps a sensible buffer for the agreed train or flight time, while any optional stop depends on the remaining daylight and traffic. For Return to Islamabad on day 5, the route uses practical meal and comfort stops without promising every roadside viewpoint; the guide reconfirms the arrival estimate and following start time as conditions become clear.

Is this tour completely private?
Yes: your own vehicle, your own driver, and departure on any date you choose. No strangers, no fixed seats, and the daily plan flexes to your pace.
Can the trip begin at Gilgit Airport?
Yes: fly Islamabad to Gilgit (tickets booked at cost) and we start the itinerary from the airport, trimming the road days. A road backup is always planned in case mountain weather cancels the flight.
What happens if a domestic flight is cancelled?
Mountain weather cancels a share of Gilgit and Skardu flights, so every fly-based plan carries a costed road backup that activates automatically: you may lose a day, never the trip. Road-based itineraries are unaffected.
Is Khunjerab Pass included?
Not in the standard plan: this itinerary focuses elsewhere: but a Khunjerab day (4,693 m, open ~May to Nov) can be added to any private booking; ask for the extended quote.
Which hotels are used?

Yes: drive legs are broken with rest stops, family rooms are booked, and daily plans flex around nap and meal times. Car seats available on request.
