Can I do Naltar as a day trip from Hunza?
It is possible with additional driving, but Gilgit is the more practical base. A Hunza pickup should be planned separately because it makes the day considerably longer.
Are the Naltar lakes always reachable?
No. Lake access is seasonal and depends on snow, road condition and local restrictions, so the exact farthest point is confirmed close to travel.
Why is a 4x4 used?
