Pakistan e-Visa for European Citizens (EU/Schengen) — 2026 Guide
Eligibility & Visa Type
European Citizens (EU/Schengen) apply through Pakistan’s official portal (visa.nadra.gov.pk) for a Tourist e-Visa, typically issued for 3 months with single or double entry; extensions are processed online from within Pakistan. Citizens of Germany, Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and most other European states are on the e-Visa list. No separate permit is required for Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan or the Karakoram Highway — your e-Visa covers the entire standard tourist route.
Documents You Need
A passport valid at least 6 months beyond travel, a passport-style photo, your travel dates and route, and one supporting document: confirmed hotel bookings or a Letter of Invitation (LOI) from a licensed Pakistani tour operator. Apply with the passport you will travel on; Schengen residence alone is not a substitute for nationality-based eligibility. We issue the LOI and hotel confirmations free within 24 hours of any tour booking — the single biggest thing that smooths approval.
Steps & Timeline
Create an account on the portal, complete the tourist application (list your route honestly: Islamabad – Gilgit-Baltistan – Hunza), upload documents, pay the fee online, and track status in your dashboard. Most applications decide within 7–10 working days; apply 3–4 weeks before flying for comfort. If the portal queries anything, forward it to us on WhatsApp — we answer application questions for our guests the same day.
After Approval — Arrival & On the Ground
Print the e-Visa and carry it with your passport; airlines check it at boarding. On arrival in Islamabad our team meets you at the airport, helps with SIM and currency, and handles every KKH checkpoint (photocopies of your passport and visa — we manage them). From there, your only job is the mountains: see our Hunza tour packages from USD 850, or ask on WhatsApp and we’ll match a plan to your dates.
